Peacemaking Offering
This offering is taken on World Communion Sunday. Our
congregation, through the Social Justice and Peacemaking Committee keeps 25% of
this offering to help people in our community. Another 25% is used by the
synods and presbyteries and 50% is allocated to General Assembly
ministries.
World Communion Sunday is October 3, 2010.
CROP Walk
This even, brings together people of all ages and faiths to work
for others. In participating in the CROP Walk we join with people in over
two thousand communities across the USA who want to

meet the needs of refugees. Pleas support the CROP Walk by walking or
sponsoring someone. Together we can make a BIG DIFFERENCE! Also Mt.

Exchange Student Needs Home
We have 42 PAX exchange students left to place around the
country. I am committing myself to trying to place one more
student. Here is my student of focus:
ITA008 Giuseppe ITALY M
http://www.pax.org/asp/pax.asp?st_id=15516&p=9847
Please take a moment to view his profile. Giuseppe is a
wonderful boy from the island of Sardinia. He has a very high
English ability. He is interested in computers, reading, and
painting. He is also active in church. If you are unable to host or
are already hosting, then please pass this on to anyone you know.
Remember host families come in all shapes and sizes; empty
nesters, single parents, parents with young children, and parents
with teenagers are welcome to host. The main things you need to provide
are a bed, a place to study, meals, and the love and support any teenager would
need.
