PRAYER CONCERNS

·       Prayers of Concern for  Dorothy Scheibner,  Kelly DeWitt (Kim DeWitt's brother),  Shelly Roy,  John Kingsnorth (Nancy Klunzinger’s brother), Sarah Cox, Dorothy Nugent, Roy Klopcic, Mike Carey and Landis Anderson.

Gracious God, you give us all that we have and you lead us into greater service.  Some of us have more than enough, while others live in need.  By your Spirit, guide us to show love and compassion and to share what you have given.  In the name of Christ, we pray.  Amen.

Prayer taken from the 2010 Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study.

Thank You for Making High Seas Expedition a Success!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, people who donated money or supplies, and all of you who were praying for us! We had a great time on our High Seas Expedition!  35 children explored the "mighty love of God" and discovered the ways that God's word reveals that love to us. We sang, played games, experienced exciting and surprising Bible stories, made crafts, and responded to God's love by tying fleece blankets that will be distributed to children in Africa who have been victimized by the AIDS epidemic. We also were able to present 15 children with Bibles, so that they could continue to learn that "God's Word is True," "God's Word is Comforting," "God's Word is Surprising," and "God's Word is for Everyone." Those were the 4 daily themes. Thanks to everyone for sharing your gifts!

6th Annual Morey Senior Music Outreach Program

The School of Music at Central Michigan University is pleased to announce our 6th annual Morey Senior Music Outreach Program for senior citizens and their families.  On Sunday, September 26th 20140 at 2 pm., we will present a one-hour musicale, performed by CMU students and made possible by the Morey Foundation.  The performance is in our Staples Family Concert Hall and refreshments and entertainment for all in our beautiful School of Music lobby will follow the concert.

This is a wonderful occasion for seniors and their family members to get out and enjoy good music, food, and fellowship.  There is no cost to seniors or their families; this event is a gift to the community from the Morey Foundation.  You may contact the director for more details at 774-3738.
