PRAYER CONCERNS

Prayers of Concern Shelly Roy, John Kingsnorth (Nancy Klunzinger’s brother), Sarah Cox,Sue Blodgett, Cindy Miles, Warren Long, Tim O’Brian ( The Loubert’s brother-in-law), Alfred O’Brian (The Loubert’s nephew), Bill Theunissen, and Malaysia and Singapore.

Prayers of Sympathy for the family and friends of Dean Russell who died February 9, 2011 at the age of 99.

Creator God, who cared for us all, you have given us an opportunity to help our brothers and sisters in Christ who wait in agonizing silence, praying for release from the burdens of debt and medical bills they cannot pay.  Help us to advocate for health care for all your children, for we know your heart breaks for the suffering of our neighbors.  Give us wisdom and courage as we make decisions that may not always benefit us, but surely will be of benefit to others.  In Jesus Christ we pray.  Amen.

Prayer taken from the 2011 Mission Yearbook for Prayer and Study.

Mistaken Identity

If you wore a black (or dark navy) peacoat to church on Sunday, check to see if the same jacket came home with you. Sallie did not see hers on the coatrack as she left church on February 13. It was a warmer day and wearing a lighter coat felt wonderful!!

 Thanks,

Sallie

Thank You from Social Justice & Peacemaking

Social Justice and Peacemaking Committee wants to give a BIG thankyou to all who helped with the Mobile Food Pantry at West Intermediate this past Saturday.  There were those who brought in food for snacks, those who were here at the church to receive those snacks and those who plated up the snacks for distribution on Saturday.  There were also those of you who were there on Saturday to help pass out the food to the needy community members.  Thank you and God Bless each and every one who participated in this very important mission.

Annual Rummage Sale

FEBRUARY – VALENTINE’S DAY

MARCH – ST PATRICK’S DAY

APRIL – SHOWERS AND EASTER

MAY – FLOWERS

JUNE – RUMMAGE SALE ON JUNE 11TH

It is never to early to start planning or to start putting items away for PW’s awesome rummage sale scheduled for June 11th Let’s face it.  It’s cold; you are stuck inside.  What else can you do on these frigid days.  You will feel sooooooooooooooo good after you have cleaned out that closet and boxed up your things for the sale.  So good that you will decide to clean and straighten out those drawers in the bedroom, maybe in the extra bedroom too.  On to the basement!  Now you’re on a roll…..let’s unload all those things you don’t use anymore, never used, couldn’t figure out how to use or plain don’t want to use.  Give it to PW!   Done!  Now don’t you feel better?  Good!  And you will be supporting PW by helping them raise money for local missions and maybe a special church project.  Thanks for your support.
