First Presbyterian is part of the larger church body

First Presbyterian of Mt. Pleasant is also part of the
Lake Huron Presbytery and the
Synod of the Covenant.

First Presbyterian Church is a
century-old congregation with a contemporary approach to
Christian faith.
Our central act together is
worship on Sunday mornings. The service is a formal liturgy of choral music, hymns, preaching, and prayer. During the
year, special services mark the great festivals of Christianity.
Compassion and justice are traditional emphases of our ministry. In advocacy for social
justice and international peace, inclusion of persons from different nationalities,
programs of day care, bereavement, emergency food assistance, and refugee resettlement,
and in many other ways, our congregation takes action on behalf of people in need.
